Course Information & Policy

Course Requirements

The course you are about to undertake is a Georgia Board Private Detective & Security Agencies [GBPDSA] approved course. Upon successful completion you will receive the appropriate credit hour(s) toward your bi-annual training requirement and/or elective, professional development, or risk management training needs.

GBPDSA Instructor:

All of our instructors are licensed with the State of Georgia Board of Private Detective & Security Agencies in both classroom and firearms. As a result, all training will be accepted by GBPDSA as certified and approved training and continuing education.

Out of State Students:

Some state will accept and/or satisfy their training requirements. But it recommended the student consult with their state licensing authority first before purchasing course access.

Course access:

Prior to submitting your final exam for grading, there is no limit on the number of times you may enter and exit the course within the allowed time. Some courses allow 30 days or 90 days to complete. If you fail to complete the course in the allowed time. Student will have to purchase and retake the entire course at 50% the original fee.

lessons:

All lessons must be reviewed. You cannot complete the course if you skip any lessons. Some lessons vary with different content. Some may have all script, videos and downloads. Again you must review each lesson. It is entirely up to you if you choose to download any downloadable content. But understand, once you complete the course, you will no longer have access to any content.

State of Georgia:

our courses is designed and created based on the State of Georgia’s requirements (rules, regulations, laws and etc). Some terms, language and laws may sound similar to other states. As such, do your due diligence do some additional research.

Blended Course:

If your course is listed as blended. You must complete all online assignments/lessons before you participate in the in-person assignment.

Quiz:

The online quiz is not timed. But you cannot leave and re-enter the quiz. You are allowed to take the quiz twice with a minimum passing score of 70%. If you fail to pass the quiz, you will have to return the entire course at 50% cost.

Refund Policy:

Once the student access any portion of the purchase course. No refunds or credits will be allowed or issued!

Course timers:

There are timers that may be running within the course content and course exam (it is part of the platform). WAPI does not want to artificially slow down a learner’s ability to progress at their own pace, therefore, no artificial time limits are imposed upon a course. Simply stated, where and how you study, online or offline, is completely up to you. The learner acknowledges they have invested the time required to meet GBPDSA standards for any course submitted.

Course packages:

Due to the size of some of our courses, some are packaged (comprised of parts). All parts of a course package must be completed in order to receive the appropriate course credit.

Course evaluation:

You must complete the evaluation in order to receive credit. We certainly have no intent to frustrate you but, many state regulatory agencies simply require that we provide clients with access to an evaluation.

Course Completion Certification:

By continuing with this course, you confirm that you are the individual registered for this course, that your work is your own, and that any CEU credit or professional benefit you may receive from successfully completing this course is earned individually by you. You further confirm that you have not, and will not, provide any copies of your coursework, this program, test questions, or answers to anyone. You agree that you will devote no less than 45 minute(s) per credit hour of personal study time in completing all requirements of this course.

Wall certificate:

Upon completion of the evaluation, you can find your certificate on the this portal. then follow the instructions for printing. The certificate provided on our learning portal allows for immediate proof of completing this course. But is not appealing to the eye. We offer a custom wall certificate suitable for displaying on your wall or adding to your profolio. You will have the options of requesting this wall certificate on your course survey.

Evaluation & Testing:

Throughout the learning process, you will be presented various forms of progress evaluations, to enhance your learning experience. At the end of the course there is a final examination. Passing requires a 70% score or better.  Should you fail the first test, you are only allowed one additional attempts at revised tests before the matter is referred to the WAPI® Training Coordinator.
